This will ensure a clean system after lun removal.
Here's what I did:
1) /etc/vx/bin/vxdiskunsetup emcpowerXX
Put the luns back.
2) powermt display dev=all
saw that both paths for the luns were 'dead'
3) powermt remove dev=emcpowerXX
4) devfsadm -C (as Charles suggests below)
5) powercf -q (shows that reverse of adding: path removed messages)
5.5) powermt config
6) vxdctl enable (will show error state for luns removed)
emcpower2s2 auto - - error
7) vxdisk rm emcpowerXXs2
now everything is cleaned!
